Quick facts:

  • The community was originally established in 1642 by a group of Jesuits, who also began cultivating vineyards.
  • The coop was founded in 1998 with the goal of restoring dignity to local farmers and combatting exploitative labor practices.
  • All producers in the coop share a dedication to restoring biodiversity through organic farming methods.
  • In addition to wine, the cooperative produces olive oil, almonds, ancient grain flours, beans, honey, herbs, and various fruit and vegetable preserves.
