  • Pian dell’Orino was a pioneer of biodynamic farming in Montalcino and one of the first to be certified.
  • Caroline and Jan work meticulously in the vineyard both to promote a healthy, biodiverse environment and to ensure the highest quality fruit.
  • They exclusively grow Sangiovese, but they work with 22 different clones chosen via massal selection from their experimental vineyard plot.
