Quick facts:
- Siblings Juan, Carlos, and Lucia are the fourth generation to farm in Fuente Alamo. The family estate has been predominantly devoted to cheese production, but since 2011, the siblings have been refocusing on the family’s old vineyard sites, as well as reclaiming other abandoned vineyard sites in the area.
- Nearly all of the vineyards are made up of own-rooted old vines: the phylloxera louse can’t survive in the near-desert conditions.
