Quick facts:
- The Blenheim farm dates back to 1730, and the “Claim House,” which was built around then, is one of the oldest houses in Albemarle County.
- The Matthews family purchased the property in 1999 with the goal of preserving its historical significance. They planted the first grapevines in 2000 on the remnants of an old vineyard site.
