A field blend of about 85% Carignan blended with Alicante Bouschet, Zinfandel, and Palomino, from the 130-year-old Oat Valley Vineyard in Alexander Valley. Sandy soils mean these vines are own-rooted and have not been affected by phylloxera. Whole-cluster fermentation in large concrete tanks, followed by aging in the same concrete vessels.
